Prisoners of Love - Priden i Piserenden
Vi mødes ved Lurblæserne på Rådhuspladen mandag 13.8., tirsdag 14.8., onsdag 15.8. og torsdag 16.8. kl. 16.00.
Turen er på engelsk, da der er internationale deltagere, men det er indstillet på at alle kan følge med også tyskere, spaniere, grækere og selvfølgelig hjemmepublikummet.
Prisen er 75 kr. eller 50 kr. for deltagere med pride-arbånd, der kan købes stort set overalt i området. Rådhuspladsen og er lavet om til Pride Square, med en del menneskeretsbegivenheder på Regnbuepladsen. Så der er en chance for at indsnuse stemingen.
Explore the sexual and social history of the old Copenhagen North Quarter. From it's time as a hub of hotels and inns just inside the busiest Town Gate - The penetrate the locks and gates of marriage among the elite of the Golden Age elite of the 19. century. Descent into the slum years, when the main street came to be known as the Piss Gutter, a main prostitution area. On another street we see the cloistered student residence of Herman Bang, the flamboyant writer dogged with rumors of his unusual love interests.
Finally we enter into the happy-go-hippie times of the 60'ies, where the old streets became the stage for sexual expression, and Free Love was the ideal - and some times part of a business model.
We se Old School inns, the mainstream drunkcore bars and discos around Vestergade and the hangouts and clubs for various varieties of queer in the side streets, and a wide array of odd cafés and funky shops in this beloved corner of Copenhagen.
